Still not sure? We can understand why. You might be wondering what’ll happen when you meet your adviser. Or worried it’ll take hours. Or even think you’ll be sold something you don’t need. So we’ll keep it simple. And make sure you’re happy every step of the way.
Our process breaks down into 6 simple steps:
1 Contact us. When you make your appointment to see a Legal & General Financial Adviser, we’ll give you a short list of things to bring with you. Things we need to start assessing your current situation.
2 The first meeting. Here the adviser will talk to you about your financial circumstances, your needs and objectives. They’ll also fill in a personal questionnaire with you, and agree any areas you both feel need addressing. The meeting should last around an hour.
3 That sounds like a plan. After your meeting, the adviser will go away and analyse what you’ve said before deciding on the right approach for you. Then they’ll draw up a plan based solely on your needs and recommend the best solutions for you.
4 The second meeting. When your plan’s finished, the adviser will invite you to a second meeting to talk to you about it in easy to understand terms. If you like what you see, you’ll agree the next steps and the adviser will help you fill in application forms as necessary. If you prefer, you can take time to think about the recommendations, and might need a further meeting to talk about any changes you’d like to make.
5 Taking action. Your adviser will submit any forms necessary. All you have to do is provide any medical information (if you take out protection), and wait to receive your new documents or certificates, together with regular statements.
6 Come back soon. Although any recommendations will be right for you now, it’s important to have regular reviews. That way you can make sure your plans stay on track whatever changes life brings.
