Learn About Financial Planning

Why you should use an expert

Do it yourself. In the wrong hands, it can be a disaster. And the same is true for your finances. Unless you have the right knowledge, it’s all too easy to come unstuck. You need an expert. After all, you probably wouldn’t try to rewire your house or fit a new boiler yourself unless you’re an expert.

So why take any risks with your money?

Of course it’s possible to plan your own finances. Just as it’s possible to build your own extension. Or repair your own car. But unless you have the right skills and tools for the job, you’re usually better off going to an expert. It might help to ask yourself the following questions:

  • Do you know if your investments are giving you the best returns?
  • Are your loved ones financially secure, whatever happens?
  • Are you paying the right amount for life cover?
  • Will you have enough money to enjoy retirement?
  • Have you reviewed your Inheritance Tax liability recently?

Unless you answered ‘yes’ to them all, you should see a specialist. Someone you can trust. Someone who has your best interests at heart. And someone with the knowledge to make the right recommendations for you. To be precise, you need to see a Legal & General Financial Adviser in one of our branches. They’re highly trained, professional…and very nice to talk to.

Legal & General pays commission to Bradford & Bingley for any products you buy. But their financial advisers are paid a salary and a bonus. They are also regulated by the Financial Services Authority which means they must put your needs first. Now isn’t that just what you need?
